Acceptance of Terms

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you and DST Stories Articles, operated by Deep Story Telling, LLC (“DST,” “we,” “us”), governing your access to and use of our website, newsletters, subscriptions, and all associated digital services (collectively, the “Platform”).

Permitted Use

You may access and use the DST Platform for personal, non-commercial reading and exploration of stories and editorial content. All other uses require DST’s prior written consent. Prohibited uses include:

• Reproducing, republishing, or commercially distributing DST content without written authorization
• Using automated tools, bots, or scrapers to harvest DST content at scale
• Using DST content to train AI or machine learning models without written permission
• Misrepresenting DST stories as your own work or attributing them to other sources
• Posting harmful, defamatory, abusive, or unlawful content in any DST-hosted comment section
• Attempting to gain unauthorized access to any restricted area of the platform

Intellectual Property

All content published on DST Stories Articles — including written stories, photographs, illustrations, data visualizations, audio, video, and design elements — is protected by U.S. copyright law and international intellectual property treaties. Content is owned by DST or its respective contributors and licensors. Limited personal, non-commercial use with full attribution is permitted. All other reproduction or distribution requires prior written authorization from DST.

User Submissions & Story Pitches

By submitting a story pitch, essay, or other content to DST, you grant DST a non-exclusive right to evaluate, edit, and publish your submission if accepted. Accepted submissions are subject to DST’s editorial standards and licensing terms, which are communicated to contributors at the time of acceptance. You represent that all submissions are your original work and do not infringe any third-party rights.

Subscriptions (DST Plus)

Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis and renew automatically unless canceled before the renewal date. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. Refund requests must be submitted within 7 days of a billing date. For subscription support: [email protected]

Disclaimer of Warranties

The DST Platform is provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis. DST makes no warranties — express or implied — regarding the accuracy, availability, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose of any content or feature on the platform.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, DST shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform, even if DST has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of New York, NY, unless otherwise required by applicable law.

Modifications

DST may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance. Registered users will be notified of material changes by email at least 14 days in advance.
